Our management team got off to an early start on 5th August as they headed to Woodlands Manor for a breakfast meeting with 35 members of the Rotary Club of Bedford Park. They delivered a presentation summarising the activities of the charity over the past year, highlighting the challenges faced by young people and the increasing number of registrations and signposted referrals.
They also spoke of the dedication and commitment of the team during the exceptional year of the pandemic. The President, Steve Peacey, and Former President, Ian Melville, of the Club have selected Bedfordshire Open Door as their nominated charity and have already donated the sum of £4,000 focused on increasing capacity to meet demand.
Ian Stirk and other members of the Club are now working with Michele to develop an online global fundraiser. Michele and Donna were delighted to have had the opportunity to thank the members personally for ongoing support which is directly helping local young people.
