Volunteering

At Bedfordshire Open Door we value the time and dedication of our volunteers – we are keen to welcome new people to join our friendly team and we are always happy to have an informal talk about opportunities.

Young Voice Volunteers – we are keen to involve young people in the development of our services – if you would like to contribute then get in touch and we can talk about current projects and opportunities.

Volunteer Counsellor – We welcome qualified and experienced counsellors to join our team. We ask that you offer a minimum of two voluntary hours per week. We provide our counsellors with management support, fortnightly supervision and a programme of learning and training opportunities.

Student Placement Counsellor – we offer placement opportunities for Level 4 trainee counsellors. Look here for more information

Trustee – we are currently looking for new Trustees to join our dedicated Board – look here for more information about this opportunity to share you skills at the strategic level of our organisation.

Office Volunteer – we are seeking volunteers with office experience including data input and reception, filing and diary management. We have a small but busy office and extra an pair of hands can help.

Board Minute Taker Volunteer – we are looking for an experienced minute taker to support our Board of Trustees. Working alongside the Chair of Trustees and the Operations Manager you will provide a central function in maintaining comprehensive records and minutes for the Board.

Garden Volunteer – we have a small courtyard garden and would love to have a dedicated volunteer who can offer a few hours a week to keep it looking lovely.

Work Experience – as an organisation that supports young people we are always keen to provide positive opportunities to develop their skills and experience.
