You can self refer by calling us or you can text us or email us and we will call you. If you prefer to have the support of a professional or family member then you can call us with them present to assist you with the call. We are a friendly bunch and we are here to support you in the way that suits you best. We are a place where you will be accepted, be safe and be heard.
Bedfordshire Open Door is committed to offering an accessible, confidential and free professional counselling service to young people living in Bedfordshire. Our aim is to enable young people to manage their own lives with confidence and safety.

In 2018-19 we offered 3,423 counselling sessions to 468 young people, a 40% increase on the previous year 96% of our clients felt that counselling helped them to understand their feelings and 91% said we offer a welcoming environment.

We are funded by a number of grant making trusts including the National Lottery Community Foundation, Children In Need, The Harpur Trust, The Masonic Charitable Foundation, The Ian Salverson Trust and many more…
We have also had dedicated funding from the Bedfordshire Police & Crime Commissioner for our specialist work with victims of crime.
As a small charity we also rely on donations and regular giving from our supporters in the community.
