We are looking for individuals to become trustees to join us
Become a Trustee
We are looking for new Trustees to join our established Board. Bedfordshire Open Door has been established for over 25 years and is highly regarded in the local community for the positive impact it has on the lives of young people. We are looking for individuals with motivation and enthusiasm. We embrace diversity and welcome applications from all sectors of the community. We are also actively seeking younger trustees (18+) to ensure we embed the perspective, views, and experiences of young people.
We hold six trustee meetings per year and we have a number of additional sub-committee meetings. For more information please contact the Operations Manager on 01234 360 388 or alternatively send your CV and a covering email to mflynn@bedfordopendoor.org.uk
“A trustee’s role in a charity is to be the ‘guardians of purpose’, making sure that all decisions put the needs of the beneficiaries first. They safeguard the charity’s assets – both physical assets, including property, and intangible ones, such as its reputation. They make sure these are used well and that the charity is run sustainably.” Reach Volunteering 2020
Charity trustees play a very important role in making sure that the charity is run in the interests of the people it is there to support. They strategically oversee the management and administration of the organisation. Being a trustee can be very rewarding. As a trustee you will part of the Bedfordshire Open Door team and will have the opportunity to use your expertise and experience to develop the organisation and support the team.
