Bedford Open Door is committed to offering an accessible, confidential and free professional counselling service to young people living in Bedford and the surrounding areas. Our aim is to enable young people to manage their own lives with confidence and safety.

Bedford Open Door aims to see any young person between the ages of 13 and 25 in emotional difficulty, who lives in Bedford or surrounding areas.
This may be through self referral, or signposting by professionals, or other voluntary sector workers.
Clients can speak with a member of staff on the phone during normal opening hours. Outside these times a message can be left on the answer phone.
The service is confidential unless there is a serious risk to a client or someone around them. We always endeavor to discuss risks and act with the consent of our clients, but our prime focus is the safety and well being of the young people with whom we work.
Bedford Open Door is committed to ensuring that our Service is accessible to all young people between the ages of 13 and 25** and aim to comply with Bedford Borough Standards for Accessibility.
