Service Details

Bedford Open Door will see any young person in emotional difficulty. This may be through self referral, or signposting by professionals, or other voluntary sector workers .

 

Counselling takes place in the privacy of a small counselling room, and the atmosphere is welcoming and informal. Clients work with the same counsellor whether they visit for just two or three sessions or for many months. Appointments are weekly and each session lasts for 50 minutes.

 

The service is confidential and no information is passed outside the service without the client's consent in writing. Clients can give as much or as little information about themselves as they wish.

 

Counselling at Bedford Open Door is free.

 

Clients can speak with a receptionist on the phone during normal opening hours. Outside these times a message can be left on the answer phone.
